Rental Requirements
Last updated 19 October 2026
Documents
- Self-drive: an ID card (Indonesian citizens) or passport (foreign visitors), and a driving licence valid for the vehicle type. Foreign renters need an international driving permit. Upload them when booking and bring the originals at pick-up.
- With driver: no driving licence needed; the renter's name and phone number are enough.
- The renter must be at least 21 years old (17 for scooters) and present at pick-up.
Pick-up and return
- Pick up and return at the pool you chose. Please arrive on time; we prepare each vehicle for the next renter, so there is a 2-hour gap between rentals.
- At pick-up we record the odometer, fuel level and any existing scratches together with you.
- Return the vehicle at the agreed time. There is a 30-minute grace period; after that, late hours are charged at the vehicle's hourly rate, up to one day's price per day.
Fuel, tolls and parking
- Self-drive: fuel is not included. Return the vehicle with the same fuel level, or we charge the difference.
- With driver: fuel is included when stated in the price breakdown. Tolls, parking and the driver's meals on trips longer than 12 hours are paid by the renter.
Where you can drive
- Vehicles may be used anywhere on Bali. Taking a vehicle to another island (for example Lombok or Java) needs our written approval first.
- Scooters: always wear the helmets provided.
Damage and accidents
- Report any accident, damage or breakdown to us right away via WhatsApp.
- Damage caused by negligence, driving under the influence or breaking traffic law is the renter's responsibility. Normal wear and tear is ours.
- Lost keys or documents are charged at replacement cost.
Not allowed
Smoking in the vehicle, carrying more passengers than the seats, sub-letting the vehicle, racing, and transporting illegal goods.
